Pass | Ten years is better than four, but even ten years is an unnecessary time limit. If a man is Ordained and desires to serve, he should be allowed to remain on Candidate Status indefinitely. If he is not Restricted, giving the authority to the CoP sets a dangerous precedent.
I don't believe "Non-Candidate" should be removed from the bylaws, as there are men who would wish to remain on the roster but who may decide for a time that he does not desire a Call. He could apply for Candidate Status if he changed his mind. Even so, this Resolution is an improvement over the current state of affairs, and I believe we should vote to pass it as a good first step. | 06/18 11:59am |
